Spanishmario: Renting ur own house or staying in the skul campus...which is preferable School accomodation is suicide ooooo. Veryy expensive. Unless you be bill gate pickin. It's better you rent your own apartment and share with a roomate to cut down cost, that way it wud be much cheaper and economical for you bro... |

Ricky Rozay: I stayed in the dorm the first 2 and half months I got here, the only pain is cost on feeding in their cafeteria which is more than the school fee. But because I got GA, I've to pay instate (I have little to pay, still with the GA salary) and the remaining (dorms and feeding) was fully covered by the GA. At the end, I got none of the money, all just going through papers stating that I've been paid salaries..... winch kayne tin be that? All the way from Nigeria...... collecting salaries only on papers After 2 months of doing school housing shiit, my head came up with a good plan. |

Spanishmario: If your passport carries age less than 21. The school won't let you move out..... That means the dorm is compulsory. |

kofsy: Hahahaha! Is there really a state in US that aint cold ?! Since u've not got pneumonia, it would do u NO harm.. Argh! The TOEFL went quite well.. And pls start applying to schools right abt now.. When r u writing the GRE ? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by imperiouxx(m): 4:56pm On Jul 28, 2013 |
Spanishmario: I mean your current age calculated from the age on your passport. GA is money paid to you like bimonthly salary, so it's left to you to decide where it goes, either towards your tuition, living, feeding or clubbing The good thing about it is that it allows you to pay instate instead of outstate and in some schools, you don't pay tuition and still get paid your bimonthly salary. |

imperiouxx:Xplain more on dis plz....xo living outside skul dorm is d best *noted* |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by imperiouxx(m): 5:14pm On Jul 28, 2013 |
Spanishmario: In most dorms, you're not allowed to cook. Therefore, you pay exorbitantly for the room + feeding together. The cafeteria will have all you can eat to explode. So even if you can/can't eat, you're still going to pay the crazy semesterly bill. Compare this to when you stay off campus and eat rice in the morning, garri in the afternoon with tightened fist and get some junkies or sleep happily without dinner at nigh *just exaggeration, food is the cheapest and most abundant thing in US* |
