kcstyle40: I ve been using nokia touch light battery on my Q1 since the phone was shipped to nigeria.
and yes the battery life needs help indeed......
HERE ARE STEPS ON HOW TO INSERT NOKIA
TORCHLIGHT BATTERY INTO Q1.
STEP 1: Remove the base of the nokia battery by pilling it off.

STEP 2: Open your Q1 back cover and remove its big BL-5D ;p

STEP 3: With your common sense you should be able to guild the nokia battery to fit in perfectly with a little firm pressure if needed. cheesy



PS: Below is a pictorial guild to boost up your common sense...

guy in d pix u posted,dat 2nd pix dat shows a TECNO battery is dat d original battery dt came wit ur fone?
and am nt yet CONVINCED dat those nokia batteries where actually inside d Tecno fone cos HONESTLY mine has ADAMANTLY refused to enter my own TecnoQ1 fone.... #Am corn-fused#

u guys re pushing dis battery issue too far!
after removing d under of d nokia battery,d remaing parts are IRON which can't be cut. if anyone haa been able to cut his/her battery abeg make d person tell me oohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

after much battle wit d battery, I av finally won.
dis is wot i did:
After removing d under of d battery (WHICH IS KINDA PLASTIC) You wil meet an IRON body which can not be removed, so wot did I do?
i jst took d battery n started scratching d under of d battery on our cement floor n VIOLA!!! d iron was scraping off little by little. I continued until d battery fitted into my Q1, now am typing dis using a NOKIA battery in my Q1.

Lol its not am illusion
After pilling the plastic bottom then scratch the bottom and the top gently on a semi rough surface untill it fits into ur Q1 fone .
And yes u can do the same tin to the tecno touch lite battery dat look like nokia batteries too they will work perfectly.
The secret is a little scratch on both ends to fit in well into the fone.

i cannot categorically tell u which is better, but i'll direct you to my oga at the top (octavo)...... DAZ ALL!!!!! grin grin grin grin

seriously, i use a Q1, and i'm seriously enjoying it, but i have about three friends that use N3 and its not giving them wahala.....

maybe u should just compare the specs, and pick one.

Make sure the pins re inserted correctly
the positive+ and negative - pins must be placed properly into the phone power pin too.
As long as this is done correctly ur phone must power on well.
Make sure the battery is good and charged as well.

I've been using my N3 now for about 4months without any antivirus. cheesy
Just make sure you download from clean (virus-free) sites.

thanks so ooo much i also went true N7 spec now and i also fell in love with it but comparing the diff in d price does it really worth it? Cos some phones will just av little or no diff in dia speciefications but wide diff according to d price

i av used N3 and currently using Q1..N3 was nice but apart from screen size, Q1 is just way better..in terms of connection speed, camera quality, memory(my n3 was always complaining about memory), there is no limit to the apps you can download, there are some in-built functions which make rooting quite unnecessary...et cetera..

i did but do i have remuv de ruber dat covers de teeth cos i have done so? Again i canot insert it when i put de second sim. pls put me thru again.

ok, let me chip in some stuff.....

if you love gaming, watching movies and TV online, etc then go for n3 or n7 cos of the screen size......

but if u just want to install loads and loads of educational apps, and u're also the chatting type, like me grin then go for q1 just like i did.....
