Yes! It is a variant of a psychiatric disorder called KORO, classified under the category of culture bound syndromes in psychiatry. It is a form of anxiety related disorder common in East Asian countries and Africa. In the classical Asian form, the young man suffers sudden onset of anxious terror and a feeling of panic and fear that his penis is disappearing into his abdomen..
