Federal Government promises ASUU N 1.1 Trillion | Strike Rumoured to be Called Off Next Week

It seems University students will be heading to school soon, that is if theAcademic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) agrees with what the Federal Government is offering.
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathanand leaders of ASUU had a marathon meeting on Monday 4th/Tuesday 5th November 2013, to discuss how best to move forward on the strike.
A source reveals toPunch Newspaperthat a key component of the agreement reached by the parties was the Federal Government would give N 1.1 Trillion to public universities in the next five (5) years. The government will release N 220 Billion yearly into the sector beginning from 2014.
The strike is also rumoured to be called off next week.
TheNational Universities Commissionand theTrade Union Congresswill be joint guarantors of the agreement while the Minister of Education will be the implementation officer.
Other agreements made known by Punch include revamping the public universities.
It’s great to hear some good news concerning the ASUU strike in a long while.

Hmmmm....we're operating under the belief that uniben sent this list to jamb. So whatever is on the jambsite is infact unibens list. That's my opinion. I will be very surprised if anyone (with a good score) offered admission in the jamblist would suddenly not be recognised by the school. I really believe that what may happen instead is that more names will come out when the uniben kofa site opens (faith oh cos my name neva show)
Think abt it......why would ur name appear on the jambsite at all if uniben did not send it?
The only case u might hear of is uniben giving admission and the jambsite not stating it.....in that case u simply flow with the school because it is NOT jamb giving admission via DE it is the UNI.
Summary: if u've been admitted...then uniben sent ur name which means u're safe (unless ur score was shyte)

The truth is that what you have in Jamb site was forwarded by the universities.As a matter of fact,the admission letter is a strong proof that the admission status in Jamb site is authentic
