Oba Ewuare's reign was btw 1400-1486 after which His son ascended the throne.. U can see nw dat it actually happened in the morning of Oba Ozolua's reign.. In oda words, the great Oba Ewuare had just passed on when the portuguese first arrived.. It was Oba Esigie (Oba Ozolua's son, the great Oba Ewuare's grandson) who reigned from around 1504-1550 that forged a closed contact with the portuguese which further enhanced their trade..
