W-A-R-N-I-N-G! Grant Boko Haram Amnesty or Risk Civil War - Ribadu To Jonathan. Former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman presidential candidate under the Action Congress of Nigeria banner in the last election, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, has warned President Jonathan to grant Boko Haram amnesty or stand the risk of losing Nigeria to a civil war. Speaking on a radio programme on Liberty FM last weekend in Kaduna Ribadu said “Jonathan was wrong to have said he will not grant amnesty to Boko Haram. He should not fail to protect the people. When people call and say we are tired, we are down; even if it means to dialogue and have a solution to the whole process, he should opt for such. You cannot say they are faceless because faceless people do not do things like this. Faceless people cannot be responsible and daily you see them on Facebook. Faceless people cannot be in your custody; ghosts cannot be people that are in the community; people who at a point wanted to a dialogue cannot by any means be called faceless.” He also added that “Nigerians will lose Nigeria to a civil war.” at the rate of current events if nothing drastic is done to curtail terrorism. Of late, there have been calls for the granting of amnesty to Boko Haram. The calls were sparked of by a plea by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar who is also the head of the Jam'atu Nasril Islam (JNI). In February the Sultan called on the President to give Boko Haram amnesty for the sake of peace. Since then prominent Northern Muslims have added their voices to his call. Whats your take? |

Ribadu have joined evil forces in northern Nigeria to support murderers and ask federal government to grant amnesty to people that have killed over four thousand innocent Nigerians. How I wish that all Ribadu's family members will die in the next bombing then let me see how he will ask for amnesty for terrorists. So if massob chooses to follow the footsteps of boko haram and kill thousands of innocent Nigerians, igbo leaders will come out and ask for amnesty for them. Shame on you people that is supporting boko haram secretly. |

I just noticed that since the formation of APC, ACN chieftains has been taking turns to lend their voice to Amnesty for BH as formally championed by CPC chieftains. Seems they are privy to some classified info. |

One thing is becoming clear though. Boko Haram is norths plan to return to power in 2015. We said this all along. We have been proven right. This was what Azazi was trying to say but he probably didn't say it right so the press picked the "PDP" line. He said the escalation of BH was a fallout of the consensus candidate saga during the PDP primaries in 2011. If you recall, the consensus candidate move actually cut across parties. It was simply about power going back to the north. Every other major party then, presented a northern candidate except APGA, I think. |

We have been proven right. Can one really marry the north's quest for power and BH being a PDP agenda? What of all other major non PDP parties that feilded northerners. Me thinks its just about the north coming together frustrate the government in power! hear d sultan, hear d borno elders, hear ibb, ciroma, buhari atiku, el rufai and now bibadu. Different parties, same message! |
