Likewise if u stock the wrong fish seed you can feed them with ranan,coppens,zeigler all will amount to nothing... That is why I tell farmers to know the source of the fish they buy..

Feeding uniformly , u feed them in varying spot points i.e. Feed your fishes at different point , the first point, only the fastest, nearest & strongest will eat & that is d reason u feed at least the four corners & centre for almost perfect feed distribution. Concerning releasing d concrete ponds water into yr earthen ponds, maybe yr earth site isn't producing enough water, but such water is also pollutant because it is mostly nitrate , it can help enhance algae growth, but if much, sucks out d o2 level in your ponds. U can sort, monthly in other not To stress your fishes,but the first time of stocking, sort in 3 wks & 3 wks after, to remove great size fishes. If feed regime is ok & u try your self to feed uniformly, size difference won't be Too obvious.

Pls how do I get rid of GREEN ALGAE on my earthen pond the water is flowin 24/7 still dey are always dere my fishes aren't rilly dieng mayb 1 or 2 evry 2weeks but it makes me uncmfortable makes me feel like dey aren't rilly happy inside d water. excelsiorfarm: both can be done in concrete ponds, flow thru in simple terms is the release of water either thru dripping or gushing into your fish tank and the release of the same amount i.e there should be a balance in other that the rate of outlet flow shouldn't exceed inflow of water, if it happens, u will just meet your ponds empty with time, recirculatory is same process, only thing is water is conserve and not wasted unlike the former, it entails use of some gadgets or inputs eg biofilter, pumping machine, filtering chamber ,all depends on the knowledge and insight of the one doing it, it is more expensive than the former, at least u said in clear terms,lets stop here

ponana: Hello people. What could be the possible cause of fingerlings dying in large number and also not feeding well. This started after washing the pond and the rate at which green algae abi na spirogyra appears in the pond increases. The feed in use on the farm is coppens and its a concrete pond.
