That means you put too much water while mixing the custard, try mixing it thick (not too thick) before pouring hot water. Hope that helps

thanks a bunch, i did what you said and got it in about the third trial, but when i decided to make for 3... I made the ''tea'' custard... Guess practice makes perfect.
