Financial Analyst

We currently seek a Financial Analyst for our Accounting and Finance department. This a high profile position with many opportunities for growth reporting to the COO and responsible for the supervision of the general accounting functions including the general ledger, payables, employee payroll, property and statistical accumulation. This position is also responsible for the compliance with professional accounting standards and liaison with the external auditors and tax return preparers.

Overview of Responsibilities:
•Prepare and analyze reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
•Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
•Oversee staff accounting functions including financial reporting (DCAA audit compliance, Monthly closings, annual closings/consolidation, income tax returns, compliance with accounting standards, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and payroll).
• Work with COO to prepare and finalize annual company budget, implement in Peachtree and use as the basis for all 2013 budget compare reporting.
• Support/perform pricing for all company deals and establish the program budget to be used in the dashboard.
• Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information and results of operations for COO.
•Analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
•Assist in monthly variance process and updates to rolling twelve month forecast.
•Develops integrated revenue and expense analyses, reports, annual projections and develops presentations to aid in strategic decision making.
•Prepares monthly financial review summary reports for senior management.
•Assists in responding to quarterly and yearly external surveys.

Required experience includes:

•Bachelor's degree required
•Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a FA role
•Corporate finance, financial modeling
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
•Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
•Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to work well with a team
•Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment
•Proficient in Microsoft Office products strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
•Working with high volumes of data (i.e. hundreds of thousands of rows)
•A history of documenting business processes and requirements should also be evident.
