Vulvovaginitis is the inflammation of both the vagina and vulva(the external female genital). It can affect women of all ages. Vaginal infection can be caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa among others due to unprotected sex, poor personal hygiene, sharing of pants and dirty towels and using dirty toilets. It can be bacterial or yeast infection.
