While fellow African countries fight gay rights with homophobia and in the process undermine foreign aid from Europe and the USA, South Africa has remained liberal about its views on homosexuality. It has proved this by becoming the first African country to have a legal homosexual marriage ceremony.

Africa’s first traditional gay wedding between Tshepo Modisane and Thoba Sithol, whose names are mouthfuls, (go ahead, try pronouncing them) recently took place in KwaDukuza, a small town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

The wedding included Zulu and Tswana rituals and costumes. They even dressed like the great Shaka himself.
