whats ur view of the quran. is it the verbatim true word of Allah and is it complete (contains everything Allah wants us to know and should not be added to
1. if its the verbatim word of God, how do u explain
how do u explain surah 75:1-2, 90:1,19:64,37:161-166

2.if the quran contains everything we need to know, y do we need the hadiths especially as the hadiths were not written by God. did God leave out somethings that the hadiths are now trying to tell us)

3. how do u explain the name of Jesus as Isa(closely related to Esau) in contrast to Yasu (Arabic word for Jesus)
Re: Is The Quran Complete And Should Not Be Added To by deSika(m): 10:49am On Apr 11, 2013
just to make sure am understood. let me reiterate my second point

1.if God has told us all we need to know in the quran, then we dont need anyother source for understanding Gods religion.

2. if God left out some information, then we must need go to other sources (hadiths and others) to learn what he left out.

clarity needed. thanks

You do not seem to be very knowledgeable, your questions are incredibly shallow to say the least.

1. There is nothing to explain, God uses oaths??

1By the Day of Resurrection 2 and by the self-reproaching soul!
3Does man think We shall not put his bones back together? (Surah 75:1-2)

1.I swear by this citya ––2 and you [Prophet] are an inhabitant of this city––3 [I swear] by parent and offspring, 4 that We have created man for toil and trial

2. The Quran contains everything you need to know to get guidance.

3. Well, Esau IS the hebrew name for Jesus. The classical hebrew name is Yeheshua... Infact Jesus would not recognise the name Jesus but he will recognise Eesa....

Where did you get Yasu from??

deSika: just to make sure am understood. let me reiterate my second point

1. God tells you that all you need for guidance is the Quran and tells you that the Prophet is the best example to follow... The life of the messenger is recorded in the hadiths.

'Truly, in the Messenger of Allah you have the best example for him who looks unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much' (Surah Ahzab, 33:21

2. Where are the examples of the prophet recorded?? In the hadith... We used the hadith because the Quran told us to do so... Follow the example of the messenger.

Everything needed for guidance is available for those who want to use their heads

permit me to quote you (though i have my own understanding of this but i want to get another view maybe it could also help me and others re-shape)
by "BEST EXAMPLE" THOSE IT MEAN THERE ARE OTHER EXAMPLES WE COULD FOLLOW WHICH MIGHT BE GOOD BUT NOT BEST? IF YES WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE ARE FRICTIONS IN THE EXEGESIS OF SOME VERSES BETWEEN BEST EXAMPLE AND GOOD EXAMPLE (AT LEAST THEY ARE BOTH GOOD AND THUS NO SUPERIORITY).

The prophet offers us the best example to follow according to the Quran, Even human being leaves his own example. As muslims, we are told the best example to follow...

Best> Good... As people striving for perfection we should always emulate the best , don't you think?

ofcourse i understand (we all want best) but my position still stand and not answered yet which is; IF I FOLLOW GOOD INSTEAD OF BEST AM I SINNING?(GOOD IS DEFINITELY NOT EQUAL TO BAD smiley )

similitude of this is when i say i dont want the best paradise, am comfortable with paradise number 3 smiley

hope u get my drift??

God knows best

In most cases, we end up at good anyway wen trying to reach the best.

People can aim for the top position in paradise but end up in the lowest paradise. If they aimed for lesser, they might not have made it at all.

That is the rationale for seeking the best example.

Certainly Allah knows best.

Well, Esau IS the hebrew name for Jesus
say what!

Clearly God did not see the prophets lifestyle as important, thats why he did not bother to tell us about it or are u now wiser than God. r the authors of the hadith now wiser than God. [since they r telling us something important wch God did not see as important].
let me say it another way
if God wanted us to learn about Mohammeds life. God wud have written about Mohameds life by himself in the quran. if he did not write about it. then he did not see it as bin important.

u say Mohameds life is the BEST EXAMPLE yet God does nnot tell us anything about that best example

bro u place ur sef in a very dangerous position wen u say the quran advises us to look into other sources (sources not authored by God) for something important

let me explain
it means that God told us d important things we need to know but he left out one important thing that is THE BEST EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW. i can therfore conclude that the quran is not complete since it leaves out one important thing. do now see it

#if u add the missing information then it can now be said to be complete

so as a sheikh, u will need to make ur stand on dis matter clearer for easy understanding of other people.
choose one of the following positions
1. the quran is complete and has EVERYTHING we need to know(no need for man authored sources again)
2. the quran is not complete becos it contains some information but not all. we need to go to man authored sources to learn how to follow the BEST EXAMPLE(Mohameds life)

thanks as we await ur tutorials

The question here should be:

1. Who is the author of the Quran
2. Who is/are the author of the Hadith(s)

Answering the above questions will help us tackle OP questions
