Remember, alchemy said, or was it the original Jay Garrick sef, Savitar only comes when there's someone threatening his speed.

So he himself is threatening his own speed?

Isn't he supposed to be happy?

I mean, if your past self is working much more harder than you did, that translates to, you'll be stronger than you are, so why go back in time to finish his career before it even started?

Following that line of thought, Barry is not the one he's trying to kill but Iris and we all know Barry acts like a world class fool when Iris is involved.
1 Maybe Savitar(old barry) is trying to prevent this current flash from doing something stupid because of Iris (probably surrender his speed or get trapped somewhere where the sun never shines) OR maybe
2 it's only the death of Iris that will eventually turn him to savitar (just like the death of his momma being prerequisite for him being flash)...

Y'all have got some nice theories tho but I'll wait for them to reveal who savitar is and who ever it is should

ok well, here is my explanation on everything.

You know that in Season 1, the flash writers exposed easter eggs on who the yellow speedster was, (when Dr Wells was attacked by that guy who had sonic beam powers), they showed Wells running for safety and the red lightening emanating from his body.

In season 2, when the supposed Jay Garrick tricked Catlyn by showing her his doppelganger on earth 1 with his name as Hunter Zolomon, many comic readers knew it would be someone answering Zolomon that will be Zoom because that's his real name in the comics. So they are now so careful not to leak any plots.

In the flash comics, Reverse Flash &Zoom used to be the same person until, a new comic the new 52 came out and differentiated between the 2.

Eobard was Barry Allen's archenemy, while Zoom a.k.a Zolomon was Wally West's archenemy, how? let me explain. in that new 52, Barry was dead and Wally became the Flash, putting on Barry's costume to keep his name going. Now Wally was working at Keystone police department and he had a friend by name Hunter Zolomon, when Grodd attacked Keystone and caused havoc, Grodd broke Zolomon's back. He knew Wally was the flash and begged him to go back in time and stop Grodd from breaking his back, Wally refused because he had seen Barry's mistakes of changing time and events. So Zolomon went to Central City Museum where Eobard Thawne's suit was and remember Eobard's suit had a future enhancement in the crest that made him faster and charged up his biology.(in season1 when Cisco noticed Wells' wheelchair had a power source under it, they checked camera footage of the time vault and noticed Wells collecting the second enhancement or tachyon from his suit's crest, which is the same thing he gave Barry in season 2 when he went back in time to learn from Wells how to be faster to defeat Zoom.) Zolomon took the suit, but before then he had recreated the scene that gave Barry powers and he had his speed but it wasn't fast enough, now he had the suit of Eobard he wore it and it tripled his powers. He then became obsessed with destroying Wally.

So this is the comic history of Eobard and Zoom.
Eobard is known as Reverse Flash and Professor Zoom, just like Batman is known as Dark Knight and Caped Crusader. The flash writers make things interesting by not following the comics, example Zoom of the flash TV show is from earth 2 not earth 1 even though his name is still Hunter Zolomon.


That said here are my three theories.
1. Savitar is Barry: in the comics, the blue flash or future flash (Barry in the comic future had a blue suit), felt so bad at his past self for letting the speed force tear a lot as a result of almost everyone having powers, the death of Wally and the paralysis of Iris.
So he said the only way to solve it was to go back in time, kill his past self, take his place and use the energy to seal the patch in the speed force.. Which he tried doing but ended up tossing the red or present Barry into the speedforce, that one came out and found a way to toss the future Barry into it. So I
believe when Savitar always says 'you left me for damnation in the speed force where your future self tossed me'.. So here's the thing, remember the day Barry wounded Savitar, Barry asked him why don't you just kill me? Savitar replied, oh I love to, but what's the fun in doing that without showing you pain, first I will kill Iris and everyone you love, then I will kill you.. So Savitar could be Barry from after 2024 which is the timeline Barry travels to in the future to seek answers from. He simply came back to wipe his past self from existence and to punish him.

2. Savitar could be Eddie Thawne: Savitar is simply a product of Flash point, remember the theme of season 3 is flashpoint, that's where the story roots from. In flash point everything was different, everyone dead was alive except Eddie Thawne. He was no where around, and Eddie has been rumored to come on board the flash again, yes I know you will say the speedforce episode, forget the episode. Eddie could be Savitar as a result of flashpoint. Julian still exists outside Flash point although now they are in Flashpoint 2.0 a new flashpoint timeline. Cathlyn is now killer frost from like that of earth 2. So Eddie of flashpoint could be Savitar.. and come to think of it somehow somehow Savitar sounds and talks like Eddie Thawne.

3. Savitar could be the original futuristic version of Eobard Thawne. If you have been reading my posts on this thread, you will remember that Eobard of LOT is just a time remnant and not the real Eobard, because the black flash haunts time remnants that are outside their timeline. I mean look closely at the video where the black flash killed Eobard, no blood, no hole on the suit just a disintegrated Thawne. And the real Eobard could be somewhere, but Flashpoint could have turned him into Savitar.. Because Thawne is the number one future enemy of Barry Allen... So it is possible for him to do a comeback kill.



So there you have my theories, I could still be wrong though.

and I would have said Wells of earth 19 might be Savitar but the only claim I have is the way he calls Wallace and him wanting Wally to get faster. But hey, he made Jesse Quick find Savitar's Achilles heel.

yeah I guess so too..but like you know the flashpoint 2.0 is even a sub branch of flashpoint... anything can happen....

but let's see the next episode will reveal a lot about Savitar... even if they don't show his identity, we would have an idea of the person

I feel you bro..but remember when the fake Jay Garrick showed Catlyn his doppelganger, whose name was Hunter Zolomon, I knew straight ahead that the man behind Zoom's mask was Zolomon... even in the comics Zoom's name is Hunter Zolomon....


During the time Jesse was imprisoned on earth 2 with Barry, the man in the iron mask gave them his ID as JAY(3 taps on the floor).but I never knew it was Henry Allen's doppelganger....
Barry later remembered that his Earth one's dad's maiden name was Garrick(this is the episode where they unmasked the man in the iron mask).
