They are millions of possible futures , the events that take place determines it all . 2024 Barry said he even relieved the past in a lot of ways trying to fight savitar, that he would go back do everything possible, even bring time remnants but all failed as she iris dies still. 2024 flash in his timeline never unmasked savitar even in his 2017 . But 2017 flash having done that have left the time line road 2024 flash lived ., he is on his way to a different future, with a different 2024 flash. Time travel is very confusing

See, he helped flash telling him about Tracy, and Tracy is with the team, you really think the future hasn't been changed yet? Tracy wasn't with Barry, till prolly '19/'20, and now she's with the team.

Barry Allen was everyone first guess. A lot of people are calling the writing team of the flash tepid. IMO it's too early to say. they can still make something meaningful out of this "reveal ".
anyway I just hope they won't use this same formula for season four.

Savitar is the future flash (as we already know).

Reason is this.

From season 1,Eobard gave Barry powers earlier than he Barry should have had them, so the normal flash (not the Barry we are watching, the original Barry that should have gotten his powers without Eobard's intervention), lost Iris to something precisely an accident plus, he had let too many persons become speedsters (even in the future Grodd gets speed powers). So this issue of everyone having powers has torn the speed force making it very unstable.
So the only way to fix it, was to go back in time, destroy his younger self, and prevent him from causing more rupture in the speed force. As well his killing of Iris, is to make Present Barry feel the pain he felt when he lost her in the future, so if the future flash can't have Iris, neither should the Present day Barry .




As for what now happens in 2024, the flash of that timeline never unmasked Savitar rather..he simply imprisoned him after he had killed Iris...which was the reference Savitar kept saying 'you left me for damnation in that hell'...

So now the timeline has changed and the 2024 version of Barry now knows who Savitar is beneath the mask...

The Barry that traveled to the past , saved mom and created flashpoint is the Barry we see now , what of the Barry that failed to this , the Barry that bottled up his emotions about loosing his mom and dad, one that killed zoom and took over from the mad Zolomon obssessed with speed, the one that actually dealt so much with Eoabard and made him say Barry was the villain, this might be the Barry Savitar is . But since Savitar have lived the whole life of this Present time Barry Allen this theory gets confusing .

It gets complicated now....

I think savitar is Barry....the 'time remnant' Barry that disintegrated/got lost in the speed force at the end of season 2 when Barry was trying to outrun Zoom...i think he got lost/trapped in the speedforce in that episode and so hated Barry for creating him.Been trapped in the speedforce might have made him go insane as he had to relive his mother's death over and over and over again.Remember savitar was always saying to Barry that 'you put me here/you made me'. You also remember even though he's a time remnant, he actually has all of Barry's memories and also the same shared 'history' and so disintegrating and been trapped in the speed force for what seemed like an eternity might have made him go crazy.

Or it could be Barry ..Hear me out: what if the Barry who disintegrated and got lost in the speedforce was the 'main' Barry while the time remnant Barry was the one who survived...Maybe he refused to sacrifice himself or before he could kill himself, the main Barry was gone/lost in the speed force..all, I know if I was ‘made’ a time remnant, it would take a lot to convince me to sacrifice myself.

But seriously, cue this words from savitar...'you took everything from me'..

After the season finale, Promethus will probably be dead. But Oliver will have a future with Felicity
