update on the 20th anniversary hospital. Roofing is complete it seems the 2014 deadline for the hospital completion is feasible.

Yay!! I'm glad West Africa's first MRO has been completed. This will no doubt, reduce the forex that leaves Nigeria via aircraft maintenance programs abroad.

Also, the stadium and the international terminal will be completed this year.

Look at the share size of the MRO thats aero contractors boeing 737- 500 aircraft parked beside the MRO. The hanger can fit 6 of those 737-500 with the doors closed comfortably. this is really good news for nigeria as they can now boast of an MRO facility in the country.
Hopefully they get competent hands to run the facility. Kudos to Akpabio!

You will see fewer keke in Uyo starting this year as the state govt is about to introduce a new system of scheduled bus service in Uyo with brand new busses and taxis. hopefully some the Keke drivers will be keyed into the project.

@ujoime uniuyo has a 300 bed teaching hospital,the one i mean is the one for akwa ibom state university which is under construction

Happy new year to you! Uyo has more side walks and closed drains than any city in Nigeria that i know of, However most of the older roads were designed without provision of covered drains nor sidewalks.

Yeah.. The post colonial leaders learnt to build those crap roads from the colonial rulers. Thankfully this new generation of leaders is more enlightened and sophisticated.

Does anyone have an update on the 500 housing units @ uruan? and other mass housing schemes in the state? this is where the project construction was, at may 2013.
