There is nothing wrong with being a tad ambitious.

According to him, the agency plans to have a Nigerian who can go to the space and conduct research, which was needed for peculiar reasons, like agro-based development, health, disaster, weather monitoring and some other issues that are peculiar to Nigeria, such as sickle cell disease.

As long as NASRDA does not develop an inordinate amount of this overnight, I would say there is no cause for alarm.

Nigeria also have one of the best space centres in Africa,yet some idiotts are doubting these news because of bigotry and chronic pessimism.

You mean the higher purchase we did with UK and China on which some Nigerian engineers were trained is "manufacturing" ? Just like we are manufacturing locomotives with the hire-purchase with China ?

NigSat X was designed and built by Nigerian Engineers and scientists working under the supervision of Surrey Satellite Technology Limited SSTL staff.
Satellites cannot be built here in Nigeria for now as we do not have
the laboratory for testing among other things. The Agency is doing a lot including developing a rocket launching ability. Activities of the center are not for public
consuption as they are top secrets.
