The Motor Vehicle & Generator Mechanic reports to the Logistics Manager. Tasks and Responsibilities: Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines Prepare and develop status reports as required by management Promote and share ideas for improvement Perform according to the work and development plan Mechanical and preventive & curative maintenance of Motor Vehicles, Motor bikes and Generators. Assisting the Logistics Manager in identifying any unreported accident/incidents by making inspections to all vehicles. Carry out spot checks to make sure the auxiliary equipment/accessories (e.g. spare tyre(s), tool kit, first aid kit) assigned to each vehicle are present and in good condition. Advise when replacements need to be done. Vehicle maintenance schedules are adhered to and any irregularities or defects, including minor ones, are reported promptly to your supervisor following up to ensure corrective action is promptly taken. All accidents and traffic violations are reported promptly and in detail, both verbally and in writing, to the Logistics Manager. An accurate account of vehicle movement is recorded in vehicle log sheet. All licenses relating to the vehicle are up to date and clearly displayed. Good day nairalanders, i would appreciate your honest advice on this.I used to work with a financial institution but was relieved of the job by the restructuring that was done in December last.I registered as a volunteer with an NGO two months ago to enable me have field experience because iam a parasitologist and i have passion for humanitarian works. As a volunteer, iam outstanding in the way i discharge my duties, where others struggle and complain, i work with ease because of the conditions and trainings i was exposed to while working in the bank. I submit my reports within timelines and always produce results. Yesterday the Executive director invited me to her office and gave me an offer .She said the management has observed the way i carry out my duties and have decided to make me the Manager of the NGO thrift and loans cooperative society due to my experience in the financial sector, the pay is a bit reasonable but i want to be very careful so that i donot derail. Pls what is your take on this, do i accept or reject the offer 1 Like |

I have been on every site in Lagos but there is hardly any site that broadly covers Abuja vacancies as much as Lagos. Stumbling upon this thread is one of the happiest things that has happened to me in a while. To whoever started this thread I want to say a big Thank you. You don't know how many lives you have reached and are going to reach. I live in Lagos and would be relocating to Abuja in a few months (December to be precise) I am looking for a vacancy in Abuja as I am trying to avoid staying home doing nothing.
