Forward Management is seeking a self-motivated team player with a history of meeting and exceeding goals to join our team as an Operations Specialist.

Position Description:
Candidate will be charged with daily fund accounting and operations for a financial services firm with a wide array of financial products. The candidate will be required to execute daily operations for a family of mutual funds, review and maintain Fund accounting reports and reconciliations, help develop and maintain selling agreements, direct use of proprietary systems and maintenance thereof, and execute direct contact with external vendors to complete ad-hoc reporting in support of our products and services.

Requirements:
• 2-3 years of directly related mutual fund accounting and operations experience
• Experience with general ledgers, expense payments and fund trial balances
• In-depth knowledge of mutual fund operations, including fund accounting and valuation systems
• Mutual fund compliance background a plus
• Mutual fund trading experience a plus
• Project management and requirements specification experience a plus
• Skilled in supporting various lines of business
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• High degree of accuracy and timeliness in work and ability to shift focus to match changing priorities
• Extremely organized, high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Energetic, can-do attitude, proactive, accustomed to taking initiative
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment
• Aptitude for anticipating problems and troubleshooting complicated processes
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business/finance
• Very strong analytical and computer application skills (Word and Excel) necessary
• NASD series 6, 7, 24 or 63 desirable.
