Is Your Website Ruining Your Business? A Peek At What You May Not Know. by Beebina: 11:39pm On Apr 19, 2013 |
To start a business three essentials are a must have: These are: 1. A registered business name, 2. A Telephone 3. A functional website. A business name has been simplified by CAC. With N5, 000 and if you can stand the hustle you can get it done by yourself. A telephone here is just the easiest has most of us already have one. Just make sure its in good working condition. It doesn't have to be high price, or smart phone. Just as long as you can communicate with the device. But that cannot be said of a functional website. Note that the important word here is functional. Because a website is supposed to be a marketing tool. But a lot of business owners outsource their site to web designers without looking at the marketing aspect. So, what you get is a website that doesn't help to drive in business. It may look sleek and beautiful but doesn't convert visitors to customers. Just ask yourself: How many times have you visited a site and clicked away because you couldn't find the information you were expecting to find? How many times have you visited a website and you still find outdated information on it. Those are some of the simple stuff that can make a business lose customers. And if you have a website like that this is a clear pointer that your business may suffer because of it. From my experience recently, an engineer who knew the job but didn't not have a functional site lost a client because of this. Don't let that be your portion. Submit your site for a free review to discover the marketing weakness of your site. Your site will be analysed by a marketing and Chartered Public relations professional.
