Jesus did not only come to offer us life in lieu of the death and destruction that the devil brings, He came to offer us a more abundant life.

An abundant life connotes fullness and surplus, with nothing lacking. Therefore, there is surplus in every facet of the life that Jesus gives. That means full stature and robust health in the physical, emotional wholeness, mental acuteness, social integration, spiritual growth, productivity at work, profitability in business, sustained and balanced self-development, as well as a generally fruitful life. These are some of the benefits that come with the abundant life that Jesus offers.

But He does not force Himself or His package on anyone; whoever desires to enjoy Him must first make a decision to repent of his/her sins and then consciously subscribe to Him by accepting Him as Lord and Saviour. Then, such person must devote him/herself to constant fellowship with Him in prayers, Bible study and congregating with other believers. It is by doing these that one grows spiritually and attains the understanding that positions one for a more abundant living.

Although, abundant life can be seen physically, it is not a tangible bestowal. Rather, it is a material state that is triggered by an intangible mental process of understanding all that Christ has done and accepting such as one’s own heritage. This will then result in living one’s life based on that confidence.

The abundant life Jesus gives is available to everyone who has confessed Him as Lord. But it takes devotion to Him in prayers, Bible study and fellowship to attain the understanding that will deliver it and make it a personal experience.
