Hmmmmmmmm! Fairly used Laptop? Be careful. Always best to take out the hard disk and dip it in water for 10 days then leave partially submerged for 5 days before trowing away. |

i seriously doubt the sincerity of those RAM figures - unless y'all PRECONFIGURED the ram on the manufacturer's site/or upgraded by yourselves.that is sooo not true , most latops now ship 2gb ram has standard especially with the release of vista , which requires a recommended ram of 2 gb to work seamlessly , infact i have seen system that came with 4gb of ram by default, though it most be said that it would be quite a waste since vista 32bit can only recognize 3.5 gb ram maximum , how ever a lot of 64 bit vista systems do come shipped with 4gb ram , now adays 512 mb is the lowest ram u would ever see in a new lappy with was 256 a while back |

big brovar, but its still the same thing i'm getting at i can understand if a CAD workstation ( a dell precision)or a gaming laptop(dell XPS) shipped with 4gb - not a regular laptop like an inspiron and with the dual channel thingy - you wont see a laptop off shelf with 2.5gb because the implication is 512gb vs 2gb . what seller will ship a laptop like that? unless it was preconfigured by the buyer. the popular wisdom is that dual channel ram must match 512vs 512, 1gb vs 1gb, etal Sorry, but me, am v suspicious of those two laptops. peeps selling laptops make the most absurd claims, esop when they are dealing with computer semiliterates. peeps selling pentium 1.6ghz m often say its 3.2 ghz citing the fact that 'its twice the speed of a pentim IV' whatever that means |
