You suppose to modify your own MySQL username/password you first installed PhpMyAdmin front-end on either your web hosting server (remote host) or local host.

$dbhost = 'db.php-mysql-tutorial.com:3306'; //your MySQL host server name
$dbuser = 'root';  //your MySQL username
$dbpass = 'password'; // your MySQL password

Did you upload connection.php on your HTML directory folder the same place where you upload index.html and all other external files?
