solomonwis: The employment duration dates on the letter is what is requested while filling your profile on EE, the date the letter was issued isn't required and as such, not compulsory for him to get it now so long when he will get it, the employment duration will be same as the dates he filled on his profile. The date on mine was December 2014, I don't think when I will get ITA, it will make sense to send a letter dated December 2014 to an organization in maybe June 2015. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 5:56pm On Feb 28, 2015 |
JesusDWay: Let me help you.. Nobody talks about the date the employment reference was issued but there must not be any discrepancy between dates of employment. There are bound to be discrepancies regarding actual date of employment and the dates filled in the EE application portal. The resultant effect is for the CRS to award points that is not well deserved. If you have all documents handy at the time of applying, you save yourself the headache of making "innocent" mistakes! Many people will not remember the actual date (month, year) of employment at the time of registration especially past employment so it cost next to nothing to have the documents handy. |

solomonwis: I had my OND and Degree credentials verified by WES. What I submitted was the degree certificate and the OND Statement of result, and both were honour them. Provided your school provides verification and transcript when required by them, I don't think you should have any issues. |

solomonwis: Hello solomonwis, My certificate of service carries the duration of my service with the company , my job title, my department ,and my staff cadre level. My company says, it would only release more info about my service with them under confidentiality. Can i use this as it doesn't contain info about my job responsibilities, and number of hours worked per week. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 8:24am On Mar 01, 2015 |
bissiejoe: Your job responsibilities is the main reason for the request of your certificate of service. I don't think there should be any confidentiality in the assignments that you carry out except of course you are in some regimented organization (like the secret service). Does your employment letter provide details about your job responsibilities? Do you have any official letter (letter of confirmation, Promotion letter, reassignment letter, etc) detailing your job responsibilities? I am afraid if none if the documents that you possess shows your job responsibilities, it will be extremely difficult to assess your application positively. Please do all you can (even if it takes your direct supervisor to attest to your job responsibilities on official letter head or unofficial letter head with his/her complimentary card while you provide other details inclusive of the mail/letter provided by your company stating they'd only release your job details under confidentiality). |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 1:28pm On Mar 01, 2015 |
toksys: 2000 - 2004 : Please get attestation from the clients you worked for/with during the period. Please get up to 2 or 3 attestation regarding the assignment carried out during the period. Digiprint Int'l : Ensure you receive a work reference before the company finally close down. You don't need to bring this to the notice of CIC except of course questions arises as to the going concern of the organization. As long as you get work reference regarding the company,CIC can always get the details of the organization from the corporate affairs commission (CAC) if the need arises. |

6Years and upwards is the highest no of years of work that is needed to get you the highest score allocated for work experience. Going by what you posted here, your work experience from 2008 till present is sufficient and as such, for me o, you may not bother disclosing what you did before 2008. As touching Digiprint, I will suggest you quickly go and get the reference letter for the period you were with them before the unwanted happens. I don't know if Cic contacts the employers we provide information about but even if they do and the company has folded up by then, I will expect them to get back to you while you then update them on what the circumstances may be then. toksys: |

I want to apply for the express entry as the principal applicant but hubby is not ready to write IELTS because he has s thriving business here. Is it compulsory ? Though I have a sibling in Canada to give me additional point on adaptability . I'm thinking of going ahead with application without his IELTS . Please advise [/quote] |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 4:09pm On Mar 01, 2015 |
Thrombos: Unfortunately, you can not claim additional points with your relatives in Canada anymore with the launching of Express Entry. Here, the higher your score points, the higher your chances of being selected. So, it will be beneficial if you can encourage/persuade your spouse to go for both language test and ECA. If you however, decide to go for EE alone (without your spouse's ECA and IELTS), you might have to approach the provinces and prospective employers for nomination/sponsorship. |

New draw made yesterday and cut-off point was 735, just a week after the last draw of 808 cut off point. It's really worth planning adequately, and be sure you are prepared with everything, before swimming in this pool. |

Hello Gurus, I applied for FSWP 2014. In the liabilities section, I did not state a certain loan amount as part of my liabilities because there is debate regarding the loan amount owed. So I did not know what amount to put there. I am yet to meet the creditors and agree what the loan amount really is and come up with a repayment plan. Do you think this could affect my application? I need your advice? Thanks. |

@Solomonwis, Thanks for your response. What are your reasons. Can they find out? And would they not say I omitted important information or misrepresented? Thanks. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 9:33pm On Mar 01, 2015 |
helloCanada: Your liabilities are expected to be taken to cognizance in arriving at what you actually have a proof of settlement fund. Nobody runs a check on your liability except of course you've been asked to provide further details (which is a very rare occurrence). If you can't put a figure to your liabilities, please ignore it and leave it blank. |
