Hello Nairalanders, I have been reading your comments and they're very enlightening. Thanks. I submitted the fswp 2014 on the 30th August with every document but I realised after posting that I didn't include the NOC code and stream - Federal Skilled Work on the envelope. I sent it to the courier address though. Would the application be treated? Thanks |

Yes, I can track that it is in Montreal, Canada but not yet signed for. Thanks for putting my mind at rest. I have been wondering since morning when I found out my oversight. Many thanks for the prompt response as well. Cheers. |

Dear members Please in raising a bank draft for the right of Permanent residence fee are there any particular bank preferred. I use standard chartered bank and GTB Thanks for anticipated responses God bless |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by damkollins(m): 4:16pm On Sep 09, 2014 |
ifechukwukamso: Dear membersI'm familiar with Gtbank in raising draft. You need to have a domiciliary account with them and fund your account with equivalent amount of draft you want to raise. You can now instruct them to raise the draft in Canadian dollars and give them the recipient details. After funding your account....you can raise your draft within 3 hours. Where is your location in Nigeria? Cheers. |

Hello house. I've got a friend who worked for 6 months with a firm but is unable to get a reference letter. She is very very safe with her points (over 69 points). She thinks if she mentions this firm in the "Background declaration form" as part of her activities since her 18th year birthday, but not in the "economic class form", she may be penalised. Any need for her to worry? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by damkollins(m): 6:14pm On Sep 09, 2014 |
Meritl: Hello house. She should fill both forms with her work experience of six months even if there is no letter of experience.....no issues. CIC will not penalyse but will only not award points for jobs listed without letter of experience. She's cool and ready to go. Cheers. |

ifechukwukamso: Dear Solomon and other forum membersHas Accra embassy switched to sending MR by post? that was the practice 3-4years ago before they changed to email. With the email option, You would first receive an email telling you to go for MR, then forms comes as attachment to a 2nd email a day after the initial email is received. |

Hello Everyone, Please what are the chances of sending an omitted document (foreign educational credential) as a follow up after the first submission? I attached a cover letter, the credential, the checklist and the DHL confirmation for the first shipping. This was my last resort. What are my chances please? |

3rdHigh: unibadan: These guys are not God...they make mistakes too! A lot of mistakes have been made on their website this year regarding updates of forms....but we cant fault them. They will soon correct it. If you take time to individually sum up the figures for each NOC,you will discover about 2 or 3 difference with their overall figure after the recent update! Cheers. |

Hello good people, What if you cant get a reference from your former office but you have documents to prove that you worked there, would it still not be counted for you? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by bees74: 1:10pm On Sep 10, 2014 |
solomonwis:thanks solomonwis.well done Pls i have other questions If i sell my land and pay the money (lump sum) in my account,is a cover letter enough to explain the lump sum deposit or do i still need other documents? In the economic form qtn 12 b where i av to list places i have worked in the past do i need to include my service year experience and main duties since i already mentioned it in my background.pls note that i do not need my service year to claim points hence not getting a reference letter.i have enough experience in my present job.i am only concerned because the question states that list all the places you have worked in the last 10 years In relation to that the document checklist says that provide reference letters for all the places you have worked.ALL?im confused o Ihirdly i have a stare biirth cert hope it is accepted or do i need to get one from npc.my spouse has declaration of age would that suffice for his. Thank u in advance.pls appreciate the houses' response |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by damkollins(m): 2:07pm On Sep 10, 2014 |
yomifowe: Hello good people,Try to get all supporting documents that will link you with the company e.g payslips, employment letter and so on. Also,I strongly advise that you get an affidavit to explain the reason why the company is not issuing you the reference letter and also use the affidavit to declare your entry/exit to/from company, working hours,monthly/annual salary and you job descriptions/duties. Affidavit will help strengthen your case. if you also have a senior colleague of yours in the company,he/she also can write letter of reference for you on a plain sheet as an addition but please, the affidavit is very important in conjunction with payslips and employment letter. Cheers. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by damkollins(m): 2:18pm On Sep 10, 2014 |
bees74: thanks solomonwis.well doneAt this submission stage, you do not need to show too much evidence as supporting documents...its only when the issue get raised in the local visa office.Meanwhile, apart from the cover letters, deed of agreement, btw you and the new buyer is a good evidence.Receipt also is one good documents you can include. But like I said...if it is for the purpose of submission now, leave them out as you will not be asked for any explanation....just print your statement of account out and include. For question 12b,you really do not need to list any job duties that you are not claiming point there....you can also list anyway....no point will be awarded for you and nobody is going to penalize you either way. Seems you are doubting your birth certificate...if you ain't comfortable with it,please get the NPC version to free your mind of doubts. Hubby's declaration is good and acceptable but since you are planning on getting NPC for yourself,I'll advice you to let him take it too. Cheers. |
