Kidnappers of Nigeria’s first Minister for petroleum, Dr Shettima Monguno has established
contact with his family, a close family source disclosed to News Bytes. The abductors were however noticed to have South-Eastern Igbo accent, while they
communicated with mixes of pidgin English. The source said none of them could speak in
Kanuri or Hausa language when they spoke with the representative of the Mongunos. The source also revealed that they are demanding for the release of Boko Haram members in
custody. Monguno was kidnapped at the Mafoni Jumat Mosque after prayer Friday afternoon at
about 2pm. More as events unfold…
