Research in Motion (RIM) the maker of blackberry gave those governments a partial assess to the encryption decoder. Blackberry negotiated with those Governments and reached a compromise. mr_king: don't get it twisted!! I have couple of friends that uses a blackberry phone in SA please get your fact right! This is a right move at the wrong time. I agree with the person that said what we need now is good governance. Does the banning of BB bring back the loot of police pension by Maina? Does it pay the old dying pensioners been owned their pension? Does it repair the lagos Ibadan expressway that has turned to a death trap? Does it increase allowance of corpers? Does it pay the minimum wage? Does it improve our health and education facilities? Answers needed please. 2 Likes |

Phew!!! The laws plenty oo. Moving on swiftly with the matter. The point is, they digress from the main issues, what we need in this country are firstly the dividends of democracy, good road, constant electricity, clean water, good and quality education. If you have all these bring laws from planet mars, Nigerians will abide by them, they won't care. I bet, they are not using the ban for anything meaningful. They won't use it to solve the security challenges in the country. Just a while ago, they wnated to ban access to nigerian twitter cos people they called netizens (children of the internet) insult and downplay the government of the day. He is afraid of criticism if they are doing their job? Obama was also criticized, instead of taking it wrongly, they took it restrategized and came out with a better plan and the same people I believe also voted for him. Nigerian government are usually occupied with trivia issues in the nation. Our polity is in a total disarray. Give us the basics and ban us from other things that distracts us from the present day challenges. And again, those countries in the far, near and middle east don't use the ban to fight terrorism. They use them to track down opposers of the government. Which our government wants to do as well. 1 Like |

mikolo80: DIS GUY NEVER SEE WIA GOVT DE ABUSE THEIR POWER.ORDINARY POLICE DE HARASS FOR ROAD IMAGINE WEN THEY HAVE ACCESS TO ALL UR INFO .IGNORANCE NO BE BETTER TIN OU mister is actually displaying your ignorance here. Now i can help u a bit by giving you a little lecture on how these things work hoping you dnt keep making a mess of yourself in the nearest future. When you hear monitoring of calls or messages by security agencies does your dull brain really lead you to believe that they eavesdrop on every single call or read every single message you exchange? No my dear, they have security softwares they use in monitoring the calls & messages whereby they input keywords & if any call or message contains such keyword, they get flagged down & the security agents now pick it up from there and do a more detailed analysis. Hope you'ld be grateful for my time in teaching you. |

Hmmmm! If not blackberry, which other type of handset would women demmand from men? What a shame to those who use it not because of its quality but for 'egotism'? Chai! Shakara don end. But, this policy would have pre-dated SIM card registration. However, it is never too late if the implementation is not delayed. God bless Nigeria. |
