If it was an ACN led presidency, he will give Nigerian military officers broom in replacement of AK47 to fight the terrorist.

GEJ apologist have taken over nairaland.com please watch your comments on issue. They raise issues that support their benefactor and at the same time support the comments in unison. I personally I am not fooled. After the lost of 2500 human life and not goats or sheep's human life that cannot be replaced. You are declaring partial state of emergency wherein political office holder who are the brain behind BH to still continue in office. Time will tell what GEJ ratings is.

that is not true. jonathan approval rating as just drop. the reason is the north is majority muslim.

Nairaland is run by a PDP member, seun osewa is a PDP member.

He just endanger the lifes of 200 million people. the reason is boko haram is in sokoto, kebbi, zamfara, katsina, bauchi, gombe etc.. so even if you have state of emergency in the BAY states( Bornu, Adamawa and Yobe) you will only make Boko haram spread to others state. Which is will be seen as attack on the north..

Like i said from the start the solution is to remove the western Niger of Nigeria. that is the solution from the start.

When Ban kin mooon listen to wrong advise and went to shack Jonathan in abuja.. here is the timeline of attack. you can see I was right and they were wrong. i am been honest with you. on the situation in nigeria. i dont trick people.

Let me help you out Jonathan can not count a census that will be accepted by northerners, or even the western niger . so the solution is to divide the country. so that this people can count it themself.

Approval rating in nigeria? Rubbish. That's only relevant where you have real elections - not in nigeria where they fabricate figures and the courts concur with "there was substantial compliance with the electoral law". From 1999 to 2011,it's the samething. In 2015 PDP will repeat the massive rigging and their handpicked judges will of course play along. And what follows? Your guess is as good as mine.

Who is doing the rating?

You don't have to be a rocket science to know the ratings has cause internal strive and bickerings amongst the opposition, a feat no other policy has acheived since 2011.

Take a peep at following strive amongst the opposition parties, human right lawyers and social/ political commentators :

1. ANPP Supports Mr President's SOE

2.ACN diagree with SOE

3. Ribadu ACN Presidential Candidate supports SOE

4. Fani Kayode OBJ's' pit-bull dog agrees but reckon the President should have gone a step further relinquishing the Governors of their mandates- ( which I disagree with, I think Mr President made the right decision)

5. Mr Critic Dele Momodu supports SOE

6. Human Rights Lawyers, Falana, Kumoyi and some others supports the SOE, and where impress with the Presidents's decision to keep the democratic institutions intact.

7. A random sample in many Social media outlet, one can sense and feel an overwhelming support in face-book, twitter, and Nairaland for Mr Presidents decision.

so Mr man, I hope your question has been answered.

Several people had complained he had been too soft on Boko Haram and it has taken him this long to do something he should have done 18 months ago. Do you think OBJ would have waited this long?

GEJ is a pure democrat, people may see him as slow but remember Nigeria is of diverse ethnicity so before he takes any action he must consult widely.
At the of his 8 years tenure he will be seen as father of modern democracy in Nigeria.
But my question on the subject matter above is of what parameter or whose certified body carried out this investigation and how was it done. You can not just give us this fiction and expect us to fall for it.

I don't know Lai Mohammed but I can bet he is 1000 times smarter than you will ever be. GEJ's sin is that he failed to take action a long time ago. Boko Haram did not need to kill 3,000 people before he took action. He at several times called them "our brothers" and even "members of his government". Some political figures have been linked to Boko Haram and he did nothing to them. Thank you Mr President but you could have acted much earlier!

I vehemently disagree wt this crap u put up. If GEJ had declared a SOE at an earlier date, critics like u wd said he shd hv tried diplomacy. One thing is clear wen this man ends his tenure nigerians wd then wt it means to be a truly democratic leader. GEJ is d only president in our history dat hv allowed d opposition to flourish.

Its saddening to see Nigerians commend a gesture that is a responsibility of a man massively voted to power. GEJ is saddled with the responsibity of protecting the people both from internal and external aggression. For me he has done nothing new or extraordinary to deserve my commendation since he became president. He's not won the won against terror either by dialogue or force. I shouldn't teach him what to do. He said he knew how to tackle these problems during campaigns and I believed him.
He promised to fix power, 2 years on and I still buy fuel for my generator. No improvement.
The roads in my state are still bad, worse than before and he cant caution his governor(s) to sit up.
No corrupt official/politician has been imprisoned for embezzlement,mal-administration and malvesation of public money, even though we hear, see and read about these scandals daily.
WHAT ARE YOU ALL COMMENDING HIM FOR?
It's your right to enjoy the good deeds of democracy. He's not doing any of us a favour by fighting Boko Boys. Its his job and he has to do it. In the words of Fela, "Animal can't dash me human rights."

You list people who have never live in the north apart from ribadu. they dont know how the north is or what they believe. I have lived in the north. so i will tell you how they react to things. You can see that ribadu could not win his own poll booth, not to take of his local govt. So is he the opinion of the north. Noway. ribadu speak of his own personal interest.

I disagree with SOE in a portion because religion should not be use to divide people for political gain.

I believe the best interest of the people is not been look after. Nobody will risk his child to an incoming vehicle why will anyone risk 200 million people to a civil war.

If SOE should be called. It should be for the whole country and not just one portion of Nigeria. What he should have done was call SOE for the whole country .
