With the advent of Number Portability, one would expect that NCC would make regulations that make the process simple. While I concede that the process is working, but it is not efficient. The requirement to send the "PORT" SMS from the network one wants to Port away from is proving to be the clog in the wheel! For lamost 3 days now, I have been trying to Port my 2 MTN lines away to Airtel, but all I keep getting is a failure as MTN network keeps reporting "Congestion"  Seeing as I am unable to Port away and migrate without this step, I am still stuck with MTN. What this implies is that a network could actually sabotage subscriber efforts to Port away by ensuring that the "PORT" to 3232 does not work. Please NCC do something, abeg una! |

It might be congestion anyway!Try sending it from 9pm to 11pm you should get a response |

Good news, I finally achieved the Porting, 3 months after the journey. Anyway, I have ported now. |
