Dis happened as soon as my ATF was changed and since then it jerks wen I put in reverse. I have changed the oil severally with the gear mountains but to no avail. Some one wit similsr experience to help me out. |

Toyota does not have history of transmission probs. Check to b sure d engine sits properly. Be sure all bolts around d gear are well tighted. And hope d mechaanic did not do anythin xtra apart changing d fluid. Had similar issue with an old toyota spent a lot tryin to fix it until a novince notice a dislocatn on d geaar rod. Fixed it and it stopped |

My small rover has dat issue,wen I engage R it wee be making one heavy noise as if smthing is vibrating.changed d ATF to no avail..I've learnt to drive wt it until I have mony for a new box |

to avoid jerking when you put in reverse before you put in reverse put your gear in N first and release the brakes then push the brakes again and then put reverse you will see the difference not just for corolla's do that for all cars also when you park put the gear in N pull your handbrakes release your foot brakes and make sure the car is not moving then put it in P maybe you'll need a transmission reset or new software or cleaning the sensors in the throttle to make your car idle like it came from factory  |
