The Vanity Of Humanity. by OlufemiAbbey(m): 4:51pm On May 20, 2013 |
Innocence drove him into oblivion Choked in frugal fantasy Curious about his mysterious condition Bewildered with life's fallacy. Wanting to make things work Crying out to those he loved Pleading for death to come "I'm sick of life", lost in thought. "I must survive" he screamed Not bothered about the outcome "What I must do, I must do" "Am gonna give it my best shot." He thought life was genial Seduced by the ephemerals With no second thought he obliged Ensnared and enslaved by his quest. Whatever he wants he get He called out and he's answered All he craved were at his finger tip Sold to the vanity of humanity. Alas, things turned around Those things bringing joy at first ceased Toiled, toiled and toiled, all foiled All he had gathered, in a giffy, were soiled. He was seeking for fun He forgot that life is turn-by-turn Reality of life dawned on him at once He said to himself, "back to square one." He woke up suddenly "Oh thank God it was a dream" Friend, wake up from your vanity After all, life is just a dream! 3 Likes 1 Share |
