People protested, one of Unilag former Vice Chancellors Ibidapo-Obe said He almost fainted when He heard it, government spokeperson said no going back on the name change. Some said the president has no authority to change the nomenclature.

Today, though to our president MAULAG remains MAULAG but events of the moment has overshadowed the change in nomenclature. As they do say; that; Time will tell!
