Fashola shouldn't be surprised at the kind of people who wants the job. This shows that the unemployment rate is high. same way Dangote was shocked to see PhD holders applying for truck drivers. Kudos to Fashola, though not a permanent job, it will go a long way to help lots of jobless lagosians. Eko oni baje o! 12 Likes |

Please kindly help us to beg to arm robbers terrorising ur area (festac) to come out and register so that fashola can plan for them and give them amnesty. berem: Fashola shouldn't be surprised at the kind of people who wants the job. arcis: What kind of education system do we have in Nigeria that would warrant a Ph.D holder to stoop so low and apply for semi-menial jobs like these? First it was dangote trucks, now this. Our education system is in a serious mess 5 Likes |

The issue of ph.d holders applying for dangote long vehicle driver is not the fault of the lietrates rather the problem arose from the Nigerian government.... 1 Like |

What is the point of having a Ph.D if it's the case of going for a low-paying job. I thought people with such are held in high esteem and respected |

OoduaDefence: Our education system is partly responsible for this. An education system that does not promote critical thinking but promotes rote memorization and regurgitation. As a result, graduates are ill-prepared to build companies and create jobs and solve problems that affect us. Rather, foreign expatriates and returning diasporans are the ones who are coming in to create jobs and get high-skilled employment. 4 Likes |
