The deplorable situation of Nigerian roads is something that needs urgent attention. People suffer day in day out to get daily needs due to ugly transportation system.

This road (pics below) is between Sabo and Imota in Ikorodu part of Lagos. Along this road are companies like Lucky Fibre, Hypo Hygiene and different filling stations. This road leads to Itokin (November 7, 1996 A Lagos-bound Boeing 727-213 aircraft operated by Aviation Development Corporation (ADC) with 142 passengers and nine crew crashed in Itokin). Lagos killing everyone. It also links Ogun State (Ijebu Ode) and Epe (Lagos State).

Every part of this road is a death trap. Hardly can you drive a minute without meeting a hidden pothole. Driver that is not accustomed to that road is toying with his life.

At Parafa bus stop alone. People spend up to an hour (sometimes more) in a distance of 400 meters. People had to create another route as the major road is a no-no.

Sometimes ago, the drainage system in that area was given to a contractor who did a shoddy job and left the whole area in mess. The culvert that was done did not last more than two months before it crashed. While talking to commuters, they complained that the T-fare from Ikorodu to Maya-Adamo used to be #50 and right now, it is between #150 and #200.

One of the 2 aforementioned companies decided to repair the road but some people sent street urchins to them claiming that the road ought to be government headache not the companies.

The Culvert...Now Lagos is Working. This is not to disrepute the Lagos State Govt work perhaps the road belongs to FG.
