I just got this information from a colleague that SPANCO a subsidiary of Airtel needs about 10 people who can speak Hausa Language very well as customer care representative in their Ibadan office (and me no sabi hausa o). SPANCO is behind Cocoa House, Dugbe, Ibadan. I think directly opposite Radio Nigeria. Just go submit your C.V there but make sure you boldly indicate on your C.V Hausa Language as your spoken language o. They pay around 60 to 70k and they have staff bus. Please that is all I know about the company. I wish you goodluck.

Apart from the ability to speak Hausa, what other qualifications are needed for the job? Can a SSCE holder apply?

I worked in this company for a few months and i can tell u first hand that it was a terrible experince. read this before u apply

I know many people who will call me ingrate but the company is 7 times worse than i. Your starting salary is 35k (and they dont even pay complete most of the time), net working hours 8hour, and gross working hours 11hours, no public holiday, no weekend, no christmas day, no sallah, no nothing just tedious work all through, u get 2day off after night shift at the end of the a day shift. After 3 months you move from OJT (on the job training) to probabation of six months and ur salary increases to 40k, if u dont make it due to some unrealistic parameter set have to go for another 2 months. If your smart enuff to cheat ur way around the parameter then you move to a six months probation period. After six months ur salary increases to 46k + quarterly incentive of 15k (incentive is based also on some unrealistic parameters, u cannot absent for one day. no not for any reasonable reason. To cut the long story short you get the following benefit.

1. Pension (2.5k monthly paid to ur pension account)

2 Medical ( you pay 7% of ur HMO but u there not fall sick for more that 3 days)

3. staff bus (you and ur colleges would be so ashamed by the way u r sandwiched into the bus like school children and you have to leave ur house at least on hour before ur logon time)

4 work incentive (paid qauterly, u must not be absent for a single day, u must have a quality score above 84% (not so easy to get cos the quality assurance team is full of haters), and ur Average Handling time must 140 second)

5. Many other verbal benefits that never gets implemeted

what u stand to lose

1. Most of what is promised is hardly done with force or strike action
2. your salary never get paid in full
3. your pension is subject to so many condition
4. your medical is useless cos most hospital complain that the company (SPANCO) is not faithful to its words when it come to payment, so the hospital compel u to pay from ur pocket
5. you lost your social life as you r always in the office for very long hours even on saturdays and sunday and christmas and new year and salah and sango the god of thunder's birthday.
6. Your r promo to communicable diseases like tuberculosis due lack of proper ventilation, eye and hear problem due to long hours starring at the computer and headset of your ear.
7. the company is an indian company and they r slave master, full of lie and no respect for Nigerian youths.
8. your can easily get sacked at anytime, especially if u complain about your working condition
9. your have no future prospect as there are currently very few positions in other depertments like hr, accounts, operation, QA, training. There currently over 800 call center agent scrambling for those position.

No matter what people say about this company, I believe half loaf is better than none. My people, if you have nothing doing at the moment, please apply o. At least it is better than just staying at home expecting miracle to happen.

@kismo, I can understand your motivations. But sincerly wen u get this job u will better understand wat it means to be enslaved. I have had such bitter experience before with CNSSL in jos, all wat was said in the latters text is wat is obtainable. We worked even on days there is crisisin the state, the two days off is less than two days cos u close on the morning of the first day, before u get home is almost 10am u sleep thru out. And may wake up around evening.mind u u only have this two days to put ursef in order like washing ur cloths and scheduled adherence is part of ur evaluation too. My brother after three months check ursef out.u look sick and unkept.ur salary cannot meet ur nids talk more of u sending money to youngers at home who look up to u smtyms for assistance dey cannot ask ur parents for. Life becomes a hand to mouth situation.

Guys u there NOT try to apply for job in that company....they're so cruel,greedy,love enslaving staff i mean d other guy av said it all,& if u think its a lie,why not try give it a try i bet a Try will surelly convince you...@ kismo i know u're one of d Hr guys if not that ur friend ill av informed u of d correct pay & of 35k & not d UNREALISTIC sal u're posting here guy u shamelles ass licking fool,why not give d info to ur Family !
