The biggest mobile messaging platform used in Nigeria, 2go, has launched its app for Android on the Google Play Store. The South African company, which was founded in March 2007 by Alan Wolff and Ashley Peter, offers a low-cost way of socialising with friends. It now includes push notifications and a sleek user interface for its Android app. Speaking at the launch, Alan Wolff said: “Android is the fastest growing mobile platform across Africa, and with sub $50 (about N8000) Android devices on the horizon, 2go’s mostly feature phone user base can now migrate with 2go as they move to smartphones.” ...
