I won’t leave abandoned projects in Abia – Orji

GOVERNOR Theodore Orji of Abia State has promised not to leave a legacy of abandoned projects for the state.

Consequently, he pledged to complete all ongoing projects before the expiration of his tenure in 2015.

Orji stated this while answering questions from newsmen shortly after inspecting some on-going projects in Umuahia to ascertain the progress of work.

According to him, the multi-billion Naira projects are progressing in line with government’s plans, based on the available resources.

Governor Orji said Abians should judge him on the basis of what he did with the resources available to the state.

The governor also expressed joy that the contractors were doing a good job.

At the Ubani Ibeku new market, Chief Orji observed facilities were being put in place and noted that light has been connected to the market, while the fire service building and the motor park have been completed.

The governor also inspected the new low and middle income housing estate under construction, located close to Ubani Ibeku modern market, where he assured that the houses would be ready for occupation in the next five months.

He assured that the houses would be affordable for civil servants, and also disclosed his intention to park into the new Government House before the end of his tenure in 2015.source :http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/i-wont-leave-abandoned-projects-in-abia-orji/
