Please this is not about being lazy to read. The time I would spend to read this is what I can use to read 5 different educative things on Nairaland. Besides, it is not too important to sacrifice that much time. |

A day shall come in dis country wen we'd judge ppl purely based on merit & past record; I believe!!! |

There's no way you could've summarized this in less than 2 paragraphs? It's 2013...short and simple briefs rule. I glanced over the "book" and I'm sure it could've been summarized. *I'll read it later! |

It is a pity that majority of people that have commented on this topic cannot read this post, one adage says if u want to hide anything from a black, hide it in a book. If one cant read then how can u develop into a better individual. Anyway I understand Ribadus line of reason, we are too divided across ethnic and religious line in this country and the political class, have capitalised on it to increase the division. For change to come it will start with enlihtenment, but the sad thing is that the average nigerian on the street is, unenlighted, uninformed, very few understand what is happening and this has favoured the politicians because the day the average man understand his right, the political class wont take us for a ride anymore. |

deleteme: Lazy generation!! In our own days, we can read this with ease and get satisfied. No wonder the stardard of education keeps nose - diving every day. The effect of social media. If its to upload 1000 nude pictures, u all will do it over and over again. I weep for this generation. It beats me bro, each time there's a lenghty write up and people say they can't read it! Is there any hope for this country? It calls for serious concern. |

Mayb nt until we strt to be objective and engage in constructive thinking,we may nt get tins ryt in dis country. An information is left for u to b processed. U dnt av to digest it d way it comes. I guess our problem is reading. It may truly b painful to go tru such lengthy writeup bt if its d one dt will change ur OT,y nt tak d pains. Irrespective of Ribadu's person, I av learnt so much frm dis writeup and it will continue to shape by view abt dis country. Like I said earlier, "am waitin for dt time in dis country again wen we will av a man like MKO who was a unifying factor in our politics. Every tribe liked him forgetting abt wia he comes frm. We saw him as a Nigerian and nt a Yoruba man whch is wt is beta for our country to attain development.Nt politics of sympathy |

Nice stuff...but am sure it would achieve nothing...ngrns are too preoccupied with their daily struggle to think abt making such sacrifices for the country bsyds ther are nt guaranteed any results... The aluu4 incident is enough to reflect the rot in our institutions that shd have sparked an uprising starting frm the police with the publicity it got bt what happened?? Btw for those complainin that the article is too long! Jst stop being intellectually lazy...u guys are adding to our problems in ds country...for christ sake what would it cost u to read!!! |

While I agree that the post is quite lengthy, it is also pertinent to point out that this is one of the best write ups coming from Ribadu ....One Nigeria void of sectionalism and ethnicity.... the need to take our destiny into our hands in a peaceful and civilized manner. Unfortunately, most NLs have passed a verdict condemning it without first reading it just as Reuben Abati too displayed his HYPOCRISY and SYCOPHANCY and releasing his invectives against the person of the Author....a supposed Journalist for dat matter....Very unfortunate of Oga Reuben abati. .See wet in money de cause ooooo,... |

chess guru: Honestly feel he made a lot of sense. I really like your summary. On a serious note, is he trying to engage young minds on a revolutionary fight against the government? what does he mean when he said a decade later after military rule, there was a change in democracy ? Is he implying that when Obasanjo was ruling, there was no ethnic divide ? GTFH. I like his reminder, but he shouldn't be self centered because the current administration didn't offer him a position he won't refuse. Just saying! |

Ribadu should expose the corruption of Tinubu first before asking us to vote for him. I want to ask a question. If a man spend N10billion to become a governor, is that money invested or spent to better the society? |

Nice speech, I continue to meet lots of young but shallow Nigerians everyday. Heavily blinded by ethnicity and religion . Cant reason beyond these two primordial sentiments. But the reason is not far fetched toooooooooooo lazy to seek knowledge. Always watching africa magic and channel O, plus supersports. Never bothering to know for a second whats happening in other parts of the world. Arguing Football as if their lives depended on it. No wonder Your politicians take you for granted. Wake up guys! Some one makes this much sense and all many can make out of this is " born to rule", how did obasanjo's govt help d yoruba man?How did yar aadua's govt turn Katsina into paradise, How has Gej's presidency provided housing for all bayelsans or provided the best maternity hospital in Yenogoa? Or finally how has ebele azikiwe's govt tranform the lives of his good people of south eastern Nigeria or sorry " Biafra". Wake up guys the ruling elite class dont send you, Its u guys that want to die for them for nothing they dont give a hoot! About u guys. They only care and take care of their friends, and this friends come from across the country. Ònly one thing binds them together looting the people's commonwealth and converting to the use of themselves, their imidiate family and their cronies. If you fall into any of those threeccategories then its ok to fight for your ethnic champions. Lets support those that can really birth change stop rubbishing Ribadu if what you have to offer is Gej. As for me and my household we shall always support the most competent candidates. |
