The great news we'v been waiting for is finally here. The communities are beginning to stand up to Boko Haram. That is the ONLY solution. No matter what GEJ or JTF does, without community support, it will not yield desired result. This is why some of us have called on Buhari and other northern leaders to join the war on Boko Haram but the bunch of medieval ignoramuses on this forum always disagree. For these igoramuses, the war on Boko Haram begins and end with GEJ. All over the world, security does not begin and end with law enforcement agencies. Citizens, communities and community leaders collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure security of lives and properties. 25 Likes |

Sincere 9gerian: The great news we'v been waiting for is finally here. The communities are beginning to stand up to Boko Haram. That is the ONLY solution. No matter what GEJ or JTF does, without community support, it will not yield desired result. In addition to putting boots on the ground to quell any insurgency, it has long been established that once you incentivise local communities under siege you also win them over to your side. Why it took the Federal Government this long to recognise such an incontestable fact is beyond me. 1 Like |

Let them not complicate things for the JTF, all that is required of them is tip offs and their co-operations, nothing more. They don't have the arms to withstand those demons... And if they happen to posses such arms capable of fighting the boko haram c0ws, then they will have to tells us where they got them from. Once again... Tip offs and 100% co-operation are the keys. God bless Nigeria! 4 Likes |

Reminds me of The Anbar Awakening in Iraq which led to the steep reduction of Terrorist attacks during the Second Gulf War. This is one of the surest ways of defeating insurgents, when local people shake their fear of death and turn against the Devils within them. I pray that this ''Borno Awakening'' continues and that the Nigerian Security Agents makes good use of it, if it does then the begining of the end of Boko Haram has began. That's All. 1 Like |

eGuerrilla:Here they go again, blaming the FG. No matter how much you "incentise local communities" if there is no willingness on the part of the communities to get involved, nothing will be achieved. Besides the declaration of SOE and release of some detained Boko Haram suspects (women and children), what has changed to make the communities now enlist in the war on Boko Haram? Maybe the communities have had enough and are now fighting back. Maybe the recent release of detained Boko Haram suspects is winning more souls for the JTF. Only the communities involved can tell us what has changed. 1 Like |

Thank God that the residents of the affected areas are beginning to think like normal human beings. If they had done this before now, boko haram would have been history.I want to use this opportunity to call on northern leaders who knows these demons to come up with useful information that will help JTF fight these enemies of Nigeria.Together,we can win this war. |

emmysenior: Let them not complicates things for the JTF, all that is required of them is tip offs and their co-operations, nothing more. "Tip-offs and 100% cooperation"- a flawed theory under such circumstances. Are BH members always stationary to allow for successful rounding up after tip-offs? If the youths are sincre and courageous enough to do that then what they need is support from all lovers of peace. Unusual situations demand unusual reactions, let the youths carry on. I'm praying for them and JTF. |

rawtruth: Perhaps you will supply them with high calibre arms and ammunitions that will facilitate their course. Some of them who are novices might end up harming themselves as well as others with the weapons. Those who nurture grudges against some people over trivial issues may take laws into their hands and falsely label them as terrorist and kill them in the end. Don't forget the impact of youthful exorbitance and juvenile delinquency... #thinkam 2 Likes |
