And rides side by side d old man's bike and but the guy behind this second bike wisked and pulled dis lady bag and chain immediately when d old man was trying to get his foot back from an inch to accident scene this boys created and off they went. That and nmany cases of robbery like that are what people experienced every time here in Benin.its quite unfurtunate that some of these bikers are real bike men who are actually looking for their daily bread but they ve been mixed up with bad boys which I think has prompted the comrade Governor to take that decision. Mr. I will never ban Okada. I'm sure that by this time next year it would have been have extended to half of the state.

Speculations and conjecture continue. Where are the facts and studies to support their " claim" that most kidnappers use Okada to perpetuate their crime. Most kidnap victims I know got kidnapped and driven away by cars. Do more folks die from Okada related accidents than from motor related accidents?

This is actually uncalled for with all the bad roads and drainages in Benin City, especially in Egor local government area like Siluko Road and Ekenwa road area of Asoro - Ugbioko. Benin is not ready for okada Ban.solve the problem of bad roads and drainage first b4 implementing this law. Anybody that has plied this road knows that most people move by okada when d roads ar in dire state after d rain. And more so, Benin street are always far inside, and buses don't go into streets.

The poor masses is always at the receiving end when govermnt want to implement a polcy....they will leave the cause of the problem and start chasing shadows....we need fresh and intelligeot leaders in government..not these recycle brainless looters,wio are creating more problems for the poor people...

Okada riders in Edo state are not abokis. It isnt like Lagos and they are not reckless like Lagos okadas. It is only in Lagos, Ogun, Aba, Onitsha and a few other places you will see reckless okada riders. In places like Uyo, okada riders obey the traffic lights and drive with moderate speed. Recklesness in Lagos is not an okada thing, it is a Lagos thing. Even BRT drivers have become very reckless these days.

Kindly inform them (the Okada riders) in Benin that Lokoja is a friendlly destination. The Kogi State government is very accommodating and welcomes all riders to Lokoja to boost its mass transit revolution since we do not have a transport company.

Some of these ACN folks who haven't gone past Ore will jump into matters concerning states they no nothing of. Because Oshiomole is ACN does not mean every decision is right.
These Okada riders are the same people who swam the polling boots to vote for Oshiomole twice.
They where the same people who took to the streets in protest when the election was rigged.

Kidnappers don't use Okada, they are well equipped.

That's about the route you get public transport (bus and cab)
You are pretty much on your own in other routes (which is too numerous to mention).
Also, Benin roads are not "Express highways" like in Lagos and okada riders are pretty cool headed compared to what you have in Lagos, Onitsha, the North(Bauchi especially, with some other states too), Aba etc.
Banning Okada in Benin without first providing good roads and alternative means of transport is pure tyranny.
