congrats to those who ve been slated for interview but i want to know why EY would choose to spill info in bits and not contact everybody at the same time so that we ll know the process is free n fair. i remember this is what happened during the test invitation time. many people were forced to gatecrash only for them to be re-invited again a week later. ecolime:Same here,did engineering too. Applied cos I didnt wanna be underemployed wit less dan 100k pay in a small engr firm.finally wrote d test adventuruously as I was off dat dat. I jus know I'll be lying to myself thruout d interviewing process if I finally decid to honor d interview on fri cos Engineering is key to me 2 Likes |

davide470: To ecolime n cyberx, dnt just know why EY likes Engineers.. As of right now, i know 5 (out of the 10) engineering dude that were employed early this year, so be in the positive! Doubt if they simply like Engrs. They should actually prefer Accountants. D truth is Engrs perform better in their apt tests cos apparently dey are smarter & those kinda maths look easy to dem. Myself & several oda colleagues in skul all passed kpmg & d rest afta we had heard twas very difficult. Btw,u dnt av 2 wait till afta nysc. I pasd out of nysc june 2013 & had done 3 apt tests & 2 intaviews b4 nysc ended. Truth is,I did many applicatns dat I'm nw left to choose which job or furtha intaview 2 accept. Am nw wit an oil servicin coy so m obviously nt doin d EY or any oda intaview xcpt Shell. |

opynatty-bycee: U need to sound convincing. The tip is: u intend to be versatile. In pursuit of this, u chose accounting because it s a multi-disciplinary profession. To excel in dt career path, u've registered for ICAN. Should ey have an audit engagement in an engineering firm, u believe u wld be more grounded in dt area. Bro anytin different may seem as thou u av nt define ur career path. Versatility N reg for ICAN r key point. Its tells ur relevance to d firm. Wish u luck 2 Likes |

Ornaments': Akinola02 answered this. U would like to change ur career path since u have a clearer picture of what u really want to do now. U have always had a passion for finance since its a key resource in any organisation and and influences managerial decision making and as a testament to ur career switch, u have even registered for Ican and wud pursue an Mba and doctorate degree in dis area as well lol. Make sure there is conviction in ur choice of words. Afterall d present Ican president didn't come from an accounting background. |
