Chibuebem: the benin kingdom in particular practiced human sacrificing. Which the europeans fought against. This led to the killing of british officials on their way to the kingdom, and the eventual demise of the benin kingdom and deportation of their oba(king) The Benin Kingdom was a KINGDOM. Human sacrifices were reserved for the best occasions and done by the royal edict. Human sacrifice victims were POWs and criminals who would anyways be put to death as was the custom of war all over the world in those days. so whats the difference between killing at the gallows or sacrificing in the altar? its the same, except that this served added rewards. Sacrifice is essential however as Pagans we believe that animals, humans, etc., are all equal as living creations of the Creator. so if a animal is sacrificed then why not a human? this is how it worked. the higher and more complex the living things soul, the more potent was the sacrifice. ofcourse human sacrifice is neither compulsory nor necessary today, unless Naija Govt wants to sacrifice those criminals on death row to the Gods. btw are you a King/Queen so why are you bothered? It is not like commoners caught victims and sacrificed them. also are you from Benin Kingdom If not, so why are you bothered exactly |

Did he tell you he doesn't know that his forefathers sacrificed twins and triplets to appease their gods after the twins birth allegedly desecrates their land? He surely is smoking the wrong kinda leave! 1 Like |

The funniest thing most of you giving props to Europeans for "civilisation" don't know is that; the raw materials used for making clothes are not indigenous to Europe(just like 90% of the materials used for everything western civilisation was built on). So now imagine if Europe was isolated from the rest of the world from time immemorial like these people - don't you think Europeans will still be running around butt-naked as well? You lot need to read more about history and thank God for the African continent(the cradle of civilisation and mankind) and its people. We civilised the world but we've been on sedatives for a long time; hence why we're fvcked up. 3 Likes |

Ishsoph: am I Kalbari The Kalabari who are a small section of the Ijaws were said to have done it. only these people use to kill twins and that too at an age of infancy. i dont know what exactly was the source of this custom. probably to avoid disease spreading from one kid to the other of similar genetics, etc. ofcourse this was most probably a rumour spread by the missionary lady Mary selassor to gain converts. also the occurence of twins among Kalabaris is what? 1 in a 10 000 now compare this to attrocities and mass genocides done by christians and muslims. |

PAGAN 9JA:i'm not bothered, just showing u they actually practiced human sacrificing. They also killed young virgins, not just criminals. They also buried young virgins and wives of the king with him when he was being buried. |

PAGAN 9JA: I am a full blooded Igbo son and I make bold to tell you that my would-have-been maternal uncles were forced inside a round-necked clay pot and thrown inside a wild bush just like that. I don't want to go into details of what my late maternal parents went through for appeasement of your gods. 1 Like |

ShyM-X:The Fulanis has that jihadist tendency from time immemorial. Little wonder they''re still pillaging every village and towns they come. They have become issues for deliberation in the NASS and they seem to be having no headway at curbing their brutality. |
