Just like Dr Zakir Naik said in his last lecture in Nigeria, the most misunderstood word in the world is the word 'JIHAD'...

The funny thing is they don't want to know anything about that word, all they know is once they have the chance to link any incident to islam and that word, they don't look back or mind the cost in publishing it to be accepted without scrutiny by he league of th gullibles!!!

How is islam ever going to progress from a 7th century religion to a 21st century religion if you wont even discuss the changes that are necessary. We are obviously not living in the 7th century anymore when the Qur'an was written, and society has changed dramatically since then. To live in peace and harmony with atheists and people of different faiths, dont you think it is important to discuss the issues that said people have about the implication of certain religious texts in the Qur'an.

I believe that most muslims want to live in peace with atheists, christians, jews, hindus, etc. and see them as equals even though they have different beliefs. How can we bring Islam into the 21st century without demanding different rules and rights for believers and non believers (who will be forced to pay a jizya tax if they dont convert to islam).
I dont want to pay a tax to remain a non believer, just like a muslim would find it unfair to pay a tax to live in a non muslim country, give up his/her belief and convert or be executed.
