Is Autocheck Nigeria Becoming Fraudulent? by bravolad(m): 5:47am On Jun 22, 2013
I placed a request for a vin report after paying the prescribed amount at www.autocheck.com.ng on June 19, 2013. As I type this message I have not got the service I paid for, despite every effort I have made. As soon as I placed the order, I got an electronic generated response thanking me for making a request and that they will send the request within 2 hours and that if I do not get a response, I should contact them using the numbers listed on the email, which I have also seen on their website. On the 20th, a day after, I sent an SMS to one of the numbers they provided requesting that I needed the report to make a decision. Someone contacted me to say that, it skipped his memory that he would send the report in 30 minutes. That was all the response I got from them.

Consequently, yesterday being 21st, I called the same number that called me earlier but there was no response. Meanwhile, the report was meant for a friend who needed to pay for a car but we wanted to get the status of the said car history before paying For it. Surprisingly, I had used them (Autocheckng) & they were very effective and efficient. This is by no means a smear campaign but a complaint because I have been recommending them to friends as against the more popular carfax. The most annoying part of this is that I learnt about Autocheck Nigeria through this forum.

Now my problem is, if they have a system failure, there should be a subtle way of conveying it. Has a anybody had a similar experience with them? Obviously, I would neither neither use them again nor recommend them to anybody.
