Hezbollah Vs FG: Court Reserves Judgement On N50billion Suit. by Nobody: 12:59am On Jun 25, 2013
ABUJA—Abuja Division of Federal High Court, Monday, reserved its judgment in the N50 billion suit slammed against the Federal Government by three Lebanese accused of complicity in the illegal importation of arms into the country.
The plaintiffs, Mustapha Roda Darwish Fawaz, Talal Roda, and Abdulla Tahini, accused of belonging to the military wing of Lebanon-based terrorist organisation, Hezbollah, had in the fundamental rights enforcement application filed before the court, faulted their continued detention in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Though four of them were arrested, government, yesterday, disclosed its decision to free the fourth accused person, Kossay Noudin, for want of evidence linking him to the charge.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola adjourned the case for judgment after the plaintiffs, through their lead counsel, Mr. Robert Clarke (SAN), adduced points of law, which the court ought to consider and penalise the Federal Government for not only infringing on the fundamental rights of his clients, but also preferring an incompetent charge against them. angry

This's taking too long. The case was adjourned till Monday to enable counsel to the applicants reply on points of law to the arguments of the Federal Government and since they failed in that respect, the trial judge should have thrown that nonsense N50billion suit into dust bin. angry
