Dear Nairalanders

I want to know whether going for a professional masters will be a wise decision; I just got admitted for a Maters program in one of this obodo oyinbo countries and to be sincere, I wasn't really aware of all this research/pr ;Dofessional thing; I just wanted to pursue a Masters program and I didn't really care if the program was a research or professional Masters program until I got the admission.
Now, the confusion is that some of my friends are telling me it's better to opt for an academic Masters program rather than a professional and i'm a bit confused because I've paid part of the school fee already.

So, fellas, I need your honest and candid advice on how to go about this, should I go ahead to pursue the Masters program or I should find an alternative?
