Chairman of the ruling All Nigerian People’s
Party (ANPP) in Borno State,
Alhaji Mala Othman, is said to be on the
run as the youth group known as
“Civilian JTF” laid siege on his residence in
Maiduguri accusing him of being
a major sponsor of the Boko Haram sect.
The youth group which has recently being
involved in the hunting and
capturing of Boko Haram members in the
state, yesterday cordoned off
the residence of the state ANPP chairman
in New GRA area of Maiduguri
on the allegation that he was a backer and
sponsor of the Boko Haram
activities in the state. The youth group,
who threatened to burnt down
the house of the ANPP chairman, told
soldiers who were keeping watch over the
house to release him to them without
further delay as they
vowed to remain within the vicinity until
that was done...
