Should I Say Dat Our Leaders Are Stupid? by danielarem(m): 2:25pm On Jun 27, 2013 |
I have always thought that Nigerian leaders were greedy and selfish. Despite all the intelligent citizens as well as highly qualified experts that have traveled the world at their disposal, Nigeria still fails to provide adequate electric and water supply for its citizens. Despite the billions of dollars in oil revenue to create jobs, businesses, and manufacturing industries, many Nigerians are still living below global poverty level. One of my analysis is that many of these Nigerian mediocre leaders travel abroad on a regular basis, have children schooling in first world nations, and many even have properties in these nations, but they never try to replicate the progress these western nation have made in Nigeria. They see the constant electricity that drives businesses, they see the good roads that encourage mobility as well as distribution of goods and services, they see the quality of schools and universities that enhances good education, and they also see computerized banking as well as information sharing and storage to increase the speed of excellent customer service. Yet, after enjoying the comfort of the civilized world, they gladly and joyfully return to Nigeria without the intention of making things better for the rest of the masses. |
