No one shld die following caeserian section in 2013. Not even in Sagamu. It is doubtful if the operator can escape culpabillity of negligence or incompetence if case is subjected to forensic scrutiny.

But then again one cant ignore the harsh conditions most doctors operate in Nigeria.

May her soul rest in peace.

slimyem: I thought Ceasarean section is supposed to be a minor operation..?

Just imagine. Ordinary cs and we lost her. Heard she had her cs in Sacred Heart Hospital Lantoro, Abeokuta. That hospital is full of some unprofessional doctors. I heard of a particular Dr. F who performs operations on patients without care. Cutting through people anyway anyhow. To the doctors people dying is just a norm and they don't really have contingency plans in the case of complications in medical care.

Too bad you had to leave us Nike. A computer Science graduate and we went to same school, same graduating year years ago. A beautiful soft spoken lady. A really cool and jovial lady. We that know you shall miss you.

RIP NIKE... RIP.

Awwww cry cry ile aye ile asan.God grant the family of this beautiful young woman the grace to bear this loss.Life is indeed so short.

Pregnancy and childbirth is such a simple yet complicated process. With no complications, the most straightforward process ever, with complications could prove fatal. Its dealing with those complications(cos they are bound to happen, I remember when I had my daughter na just God and experienced healthcare professionals) that we really need to look at in Nigeria.Yes, we will all die someday and from something but our maternal mortality rates are just too high for the way medicine has advanced.

Very unfortunate cry that's why I don't blame people who travel abroad to give birth, many hospitals in Nigeria do not have the facilities as well as the right doctors to safely perform a ceaserian section.
Re: Adenike Ogungbe Is Dead, CEO Of Ewar Make-overs by bfmconcepts: 7:32am On Jul 04, 2013
This is one reason why rich men do not trust our hospitals.
The death is likely to be as a result of doctor's over-confidence/negligence (behaving as if they're god), improper monitoring or one medical error somewhere.
If the death is properly sanctioned, lots of certificate may have to be withdrawn

Dear Adenike,

Where do I begin? my heart is broken but God knows best. You went through so much pain in your short life but you still achieved a lot. You were first among equals. Back in Uni when most of us where still collecting money from our parents and engaging in idle talk, you already had a striving nails business. In that little room in OSU, all the girls assembled to have their nails done. It was not a surprise that so many years later you had built a name for yourself in the beauty industry. YOu were so humble and gentle.Throughout all your trials with kids you remained the same lovely lady checking up on us all and making sure we were fine. I remember how happy you were on your wedding day. I also remember how you turned 'ugly duckling' me to a beuatiful lady on my wedding day, people keep reminding me of that day till date. You were a blessing and an inspiration to us all.

I can go on and on but I will save the rest in my heart.

For sure your name is engraved in the sands of time.

Rest on beloved friend.
