[/quote yes ive donated, earlier this year to be precise, can still remember when i finished donating they took turns to look at my blood in the paint and also took some more in a small container, i wonder wot it meant. But they were just commenting on the blood. But then i promised not to donate on a free will anymore coz i know that that blood would be sold at a very costly price. If i have to donate next time i must see the person that really needs it.

Biomedically, blood donation is a good thing to do(either voluntarily or commercially). I have donated blood before, and i'd gladly do so again.

phonetics: Of course The Bible DOES NOT CONDEMN donating blood!

We have a Blood Donation drive annually at our Church.

Our own little way of showing the Love of Jesus practically.

After all, only holy people's blood no day get HIV inside!!
Remember it ONLY the blood of Jesus, that saves life.

I and my young brother donated for my dad in March, this year. It was my first time ever and my PCV was 47% then. I never knew the process was not as scary as I had always thought. The scary part of it, to me, was the HIV testing cos I hadn't done it before.

Abali1: This is a sensitive topic for us who live with sickle cell disease.
SS turning to AA is a common testimony at Winners Chapel, Ota. Even deadlier diseases get cured even when nobody prays for you. Give your life to Christ and have faith. We have specialised healing services and you can also buy books and VCD on healing. Your case is a minor one!

Still can't believe there are people who don't try knowing their status except when there is an emergency case.

blink182: I am very sure I've received close to if not more than a thousand transfusions.

2 or more times a week from when I was 3 to about 20 years. Worst years of my life, my body couldn't function on my blood, doctors had to keep filling me with healthy red blood cells.
Sorry are you SS?

I had a near-death accident in 2002 that took 15 pnt of blood to revive me. mehn it was scary but thank God Am telling the story. I will always be grateful to my donors

DID YOU KNOw?
There is the National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS) and it is located in all zonal regions in Nigeria and some states.
Giving blood that does no harm to the recipient is a noble thing to do.

Those who need blood include: Accident victims, Women at child delivery (stand by in cases of complications), Anaemic, Cancer, Surgery, Sickle cell, and others. These people need you and me.

Although not everyone can donate blood, most people can. Those who can donate include: Those Aged 18 years – 65 years, if you weigh above 50kg and your Haemoglobin level is of at least 12g/dl.

Do not worry about all these technicalities, when you get to the place where you can donate, they would brief you. But this is how it is done: a Medical check is done, then your Blood is collected and finally you are refreshed.

When you are through giving your blood, take plenty water for 12 hours, you must avoid climbing high buildings, avoid strenuous activity for 6 hours, and others.

Are you still not interested? Let us tell you why you should do it: you will be responsible for saving a life and it helps you- yes you reduce the workload on your heart, kidney and liver!

You are encouraged to visit any of the following centers and donate blood for free, because you or your loved ones may need it urgently one day!
