ujoinme:

The ijaws are part of the landscape of all the coastal areas of nigeria so its easy to see how they can be that many.
Like I said, it is revisionist to say the Ijaws suddenly are now up to 16 million people
Bayelsa's population at 2006 was 1.7 million
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_states_by_population
They are a visible minority in Ondo and Delta state
In Rivers,Akwa Ibom and Cross River they don't have the mass to push around
So how come they are now 16 million
Like I said earlier, this fallacy has been exposed and debated here
https://www.nairaland.com/891977/how-did-ijaw-4th-largest
You might choose to believe revisionism
However don't force it down the throats of others cool

A debate of opinions is hardly the same as data borne out of research. If you want to be taken seriously cite a research article that support your views or data from a research work, and not opinions as the one you just quoted.
until you find credible evidence for your views,i will regard them as mere rants.

I think folks don't know the difference between a peer reviewed scholarly article and online articles. I was hoping to see a study that used the same sample/source/data but produced different results. Could anybody publish the raw data sourced from those organizations?

Peeps why dont we debate d purpose of this thread why focus on some inaccuracies in d op,as we know those people base their resarch on local statistics, since gej goverment announced dat ijaw are now 10% of nigeria overnight wat right do dey hav to say ijaws population is less, will they come to nigeria and start counting ijaws is dat even feasible, same goes for other errors which is left for we nigerians to correct.so lets go back to d real question d op askd.personally i dont think dividing dis country is d answer cos d same stealing bastards leading us will be d same even with more power,i cant bear to think wat dat Tinubu will do to d precious future of yorubaland,i also cant imagine how innocent northerners will suffer from d cruelity of their leader and dey wont be able to fight for their right as most are not educated, even educated ones will not hav d means, sharia law will be d rule of law which someone like yusuf will only have his hand cut off for stealing billions and thereafter enjoy his loot,is dat wat we want.i cant also try to think how gej will sell ijawland or niger delta to d chineese,i cant even think about how mend will be paid while unemployd graduate will be ignored.also in d east there is no real person dat can cause them so much headache as dey donot have a tinubu which we yoruba have, but i cant bear to think losing my igbo friends,i cant also thinks about how fashola or whoever in power will start deporting igbo traders, how there will be overpopulation and higher unemployment in d east as i hold d opinion dat igbos might have d largest population in nigeria.so with all dis dividing d country will only be like a cowardly short cut which will have a big effect on d livelihood of nigerians and our west african brothers who look up to us.so i think it will be better if we eliminate our source of problem and not take short cut cos even with dat our problem will be more.imagine tinubu being d president of yorubaland with no one to control him how he is going to mortgage our future heaven forbids dat happens.i donot support pdp or acn or apc i only think wen we start doing things right dats wen our real glory will shine

In real sense, PDP destroy nigeria,I'm not a fan of any political party. During OBJ regime nigeria move to next level with corrupt mind that was when computer age started in nigeria by then no strong opposition party to challenge PDP n dey thought dey own nigeria, corrupting every organisation in nigeria, christians., mosque, using cultist 2 rig election that's when youth started having more interest in cultism, traditional rulers were not left out in process. Although all politicians are d same, now we have an merging party who want to challenge PDP pro-PDP in NL does not want this instead they attack anybody talk about APC. I think we should allow ds country to b rule by another mindset of people. PDP can not do with rigging its in them(peak milk its in u).
